Personal:

I am married to Nathan Long and have two cute boys. I enjoy being a mom but running keeps me sane.=) Running is my passion and always will be. I was asked by a friend what I was training for and I said to be skinny. She looked at me (as we just finished 3 hard one mile repeats after I just got done having two crowns put in) and said, "No one trains that hard to be skinny." I said, "I do." To me working out is fun! I love pushing my body to new limits. I think if I had to do just mileage I would go crazy!

Utah Valley Half Race. Disappointed with time. i have never been one to have run easy in a race. I always race and can honestly say I tried hard. 1:20 is a great time but not for me and I was truly disappointed with my time. I felt good until 8 miles and then struggled a little with a cramp trying to slow pace a little so it would go away...I know what happens if I don't d that. Then I could never regain on the leader but I tried until the very end to catch so this was an improvement. Then I saw my time and my heart sunk because I felt like I was running a good time even though I forgot my watch so I had no clue what my time was. At least I can say I did my best and I can only improve from here. There are a few things I need to do better to run better and one of the biggest things is sleep.

nice job yesterday. sorry it wasn't the time you wanted, but you raced well. i was rooting for you from afar to catch natalie (from my view it was green dot vs. pink dot) :)

way to fight for it all the way to the end.
